George Hotz, the brains behind the Sony Playstation 3 jailbreak, had a court session on February, 10th, and Sony had something in mind. The decision of this case was premature and was decided by U.S. District Judge Susan Illston, that George Hotz breached the Digital Millennium Copyrights Act by publishing or distributing the hack to the public. Not only that, but Sony is also attempting to sue the entire team, known as the Fail0verflow hacking team, for the same issue. For now, things are not looking too good for George Hotz as it did for the Apple scene, but more news on that as it comes in.
Verizon signed a contract with Apple several months ago allowing Verizon to distribute a CDMA version of the iPhone 4. Preorders took place for existing Verizon customers and were already shipping three days ago. Official release of the Verizon iPhone 4 is today and interesting enough, the iPhone 4 broke Verizons' first day release record of any phone's first day release in sales. However, the iPhone 4 for Verizon is also facing the antenna issues as it did for AT&T. Furthermore, it is imminent that Verizon is competing with AT&T because of their exclusive unlimited data plan for all smartphones, including the iPhone. Will they beat AT&T once and for all? More news to come...

Another Firmware 4.2.1 Untethered Jailbreak Released, but for Windows users this time!
The Chronic Dev Team developed the program, Greenpois0n (the last "o" is a zero), to enable iDevice users to successfully jailbreak their devices with an untether. As mentioned before, untethered jailbreaks differ from semi tethered and tethered jailbreaks for a number of reasons.
A tethered jailbreak means that after you successfully jailbreak an iDevice, the device is not capable of booting up after a restart or force shut down because of the lack of resources to be recognized after powering off. Basically, any one who has performed a tethered jailbreak shouldn't turn off or restart their iDevice because they wouldn't be able to turn it back on, with the exception of the assistance of booting tethered through the same program, which requires a PC or Mac.
A semi tethered jailbreak is unique because it shares the same qualities as a tethered and untethered. If a semi tethered jailbreak is performed, the iDevice is able to be booted back up but with limited capabilities. Unless a modification of theme based hacks are done, an iDevice should boot up without any issues. On another note, applications such as Cydia, Safari and a few others are inaccessible. If the device is unable to boot up after a semi tethered jailbreak, then the assistance of the program that was used to jailbreak it is required, as mentioned in the paragraph above.
An untethered jailbreak is what most iDevice users look forward to in the jailbreaking community. Why? Because after a successful untethered jailbreak, iDevice users are able to power off their devices and power the device back on without any issues what so ever. One jailbreak and you are good to go, unless of course the user decides to upgrade the firmware. Upgraded firmware usually results in the loss of a jailbreak and the need to jailbreak the device again because of the changed exploits from the previous firmware.
So back to the topic about the 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak for Windows users. The Greenpois0n RC5 series was released on February the 10th. This was a long awaited program for especially Windows users because the previous untethered jailbreak for 4.2.1 was the Redsn0w 0.9.7 series, which was specifically for Mac users only. The jailbreak is on the main site at Greenpois0n and will be available for Linux users in the near future. As for now, hooray for Windows users!

Hacking and Modding of handheld devices

As soon as any handheld device is released by any corporation, such as Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, Sony, etc., developers are constantly trying to access the root of the device in order to run custom firmware, modify system files, and more. I find it very interesting that after these developers succeed, the corporations are frequently trying to sue them because of the effect of the hack. The hacks may lead to copyright issues and pirating of software released by either the corporation themselves, or by various third-party companies.
To be more specific, Apple's iDevices, aka the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, etc., has always been vulnerable to developers. The fact that the processors in these devices, i.e. a-4 processor, are so fast and efficient, the application community can be from 3-D games, to a real-time GPS, makes these devices so unique. Of course, nothing in this world is free, so a good number of applications (apps) provided through Apple's Appstore costs money and usually range from anywhere from 99 cents, to nearly 100 dollars! [maybe more]
George Hotz is a well-known developer and hacker for Apple's devices, and continues to hack, although he has been sued and threatened countless times. Not only Apple's devices, he is responsible for the latest Playstation 3 hacks! He is currently going on trial for that particular incident and intends to win without any hesitations.
The term for successfully being able to access the root of an iDevices' software, is "jailbreaking." This, at one point, was illegal and not encouraged. However, in the last quarter of 2010, it was ruled that jailbreaking is legal and may be done to any Apply iDevice as long as piracy or anything similar was being done.
More content will be provided on this hot issue...

Unpopular blogs, are only unpopular in traffic
Is your blog not getting as much attention as you would like? Do not be discouraged, it is not your fault at all. Unpopular blogs are only unpopular in traffic! All you need to do, is work for your quantities in viewers.
Traffic
This is the most important thing towards your site's success. Why? Traffic in your site indicates how interesting, and how well you are distributing your site's URL to the public. To distribute your site to the public in the easiest manner, try going to other blogs or boards that contain a thread in need of people's sites. Sites such as the ones on the left hand site of my blog help a ton, and visiting people's sites on those boards aid tremendously in your site's traffic. I know this because the people posting their sites on the boards/forums are in need of traffic amongst their sites, like you. In the end, if you subscribe to their feed via anything, and/or comment one of their posts, the chances of them being directed back to your site is very high. In doing so, your blog will be read. One person (other than you), reading your posts, is one step up to the popularity of your blog.
A Sense of Confidence
When creating, and maintaining your blog, do not be discouraged by the low numbers in your blog, whether it be comments, subscribers to your feed, or traffic. Always be somewhat, if not, really confident in your blog. Only you may keep your own blog from failing miserably. I am not saying that anybody's blog is miserable, but if you stay active in your blog, I guarantee there will be an opportunity out there for you, as a blogger, to keep that smile on your face everytime you write. Staying up to date, and having fun with your blog could become difficult to do, but once you get that comment or that subscriber, you will be satisfied. Keep up the work, and never be withdrawed from your dark blogs. Everybody as been there, and you are not alone. Pagerank is almost insignificant, and should not control your feelings for your blog, because that is not their job, it is only yours. Pagerank is almost like a resource for other advertisers to look at. Subside the fact that there is a 0, 1, or 2, or whatever number there is, because it is insignificant. Keep blogging, and in the longrun, there is only room for the rank to go up.
Your road to popularity
Even if you do not mind popularity, all of these tips are great for your blog to receive some views. Striving for a better blog, and perserverance for success can only get you there. The blogging world is like a huge road. There will be stopsigns, streetlights, and yield signs, etc, but acceleration is always present, no matter what signs there are. Staying straight with your blog, and commencing your goals with integrity, there is no time to look back, only forward. Therefore, success is just around the corner, all your have to do make the turn.

Nintendo Wifi USB Connector not working for you?

Okay, so for those of you that are frustrated with trying to strive for a wifi connection in your home for a Wii, I want to help save you money. If you purchase a Nintendo Wifi USB Connector at any store (like Wal-Mart, Target, Gamestop, etc.), be prepared to get a refund. You might get lucky with it, who knows, but do not count on it working for you.
This device is very convenient, and simple to install. It only takes about 5 minutes to get the software, and device reading properly. Some people even have trouble getting the Connector to even be recognized by the PC! I know it is only $20-$30 or so. Don't get me wrong, it's a great deal if you only need Wifi on a Wii. But, if it does turn out ineffective (which in most cases, is...), then don't hesitate to purchase a wireless g router. They are only about $40, and work in my opinion, more than 80% of the time. I've looked on a lot of blogs, discussing the defects of the Connector, and I had experienced it as well, and it is not worth the trouble. There is the firewall that could interfere with the connection, connection settings, your computer's internet settings, you IP, range within the Wii and the Connector, and lots more.
I would say, just buy the wireless router. The wireless router (most of them at least), are so easy to install and hook up, and have security (WPS) in my case. I have a Belkin Wireless G Router ver. 8000, and it is an awesome product for the Wii, and your PC. I have used it for about a month now, and no problems what so ever. Please, do not hesitate to try this product out. The security works outstandingly, not the best (because it is not the most expensive wireless router), but still is satisfying to have. If you have any questions about setting a Wifi connection in your household, or in your business, give me a comment, and I'll try to help you out.
